At the beginning of the season, sweets and bakery of every kind started to land in my life; weather it was from kids school sales or parties, family, etc I was drowning in a sea of sweets and forgetfulness...
This, till I started to feel sloppy, tired and in a "whatever" mood. That was the moment I told myself "hey it is ok, let's get back up". I talk to myself with patience, love, and kindness because it is ok to have these seasons.
After all, it is part of being human.
This is how my weekly reset looks like most of the times. It can change from season to season depending on my agenda and yes, my mood. Because let's be real; there are times in where we can't be this super extra organized person.
I clean the house, my bed sheets, general laundry, cooking, etc. Everything needed to reset and to feel the fresh aura of new beginnings.
Nutritious Day Start
I got up to my normal everyday routine that includes drinking green tea or protein first thing when I wake up (now is mostly protein and green tea will come around 8:30 am). On the weekends this can change because sometimes I will have rice, beans + protein or leftovers from the friday night as breakfast.
Thing is that having protein as breakfast monday-friday is time saving for me, but also it keeps me full till around 11:00 am. In addition, I will engage in at least 10 minutes of body movement and intentional breathing.
I like to meal prep for the week because It is not my priority to buy food on weekdays. That is a treat for friday night and weekends.
Hair Oiling
I normally do this every weekend and I stopped for a month and a little more... Let me tell you: I see the difference when not doing it. My hair was looking dry and with freeze and had to apply way more hair oil than usual.
Also, I stopped wearing my silk cap and this is a no no from now on. I will try my best to never again stop wearing my silk cap because that is the main key to keep healthy and shiny hair. I also created my own mixture of oils for my hair. I added sesame, coconut, olive, and black seed oils.
Nail Care
Right now due to my electricity classes I have neglected my nails a bit, but I have been persistent in applying lotion and oils to heal scars and dryness. But, let me apply shine gloss instead of color because honesty, can't handle color right now.
The fact that I am constantly peeling off cables, making connections and learning/working with circuits
I recently learnt: Try making something better of yourself first and then, look if you still have energy to criticize somebody that is working on something greater.
Keep Moving Forward,
